Concept:
The site of Miyagi University's Cafeteria. The Cafeteria buildings occupy an open space on the Campus situated in a hilly area rich with nature. A steel arcade leading from the Campus entrance to the school building perfectly blends in with the natural environment.

Steel Cloister Arcade (Galvanized)

Features:
The arcade consists of cylindrical columns and grid beams. A large natural daylight area was created from structural calculations. After production in the factory, each component was zincified to improve concrete bonding strength and corrosion resistance. The arcade was erected using on-site welding.
