Concept: From this cottage people can see the Sagami Ocean. To allow the best view of the sea, a double skin folded-plate structure was used. The 40mm-thick Corten Steel shelving in the tea ceremony room also functioned as the foundation wall. The material's original iron rust-colour produced an appropriate atmosphere for the Japanese tea ceremony room. |

Features: The large span space was realized by use of a double skin folded-plate structure. Corten Steel (coating specification) was used for the exterior wall and the roof as the cottage is on steep land. Moreover, the Corten Steel provides for long-term easy maintenance. |
